Event Information

Tuesday 4th October 2016, QEII Centre, London SW1P 3EE

The single supplier, centrally managed 10 year contract for network services known as N3 ceases in March 2017. Preparations for its replacement, HSCN (Health and Social Care Network), are well underway with ambitious timescales being set for the various stages in the completion of this process. The intention is to establish N3 successor services during the course of 2016/17.

HSCN is designed to support the aspirations set out by the Department of Health and NHS England through the National Information Board – Personalised Care 2020 and NHS England Five Year Forward View. It aims to establish a standards-based approach to network services that will better enable interoperability between health and care organisations and create a competitive marketplace for the supply and consumption of network services which are able to adopt and implement new technology at pace, facilitating much greater agility and responsiveness to change.

The HSCN Summit: The Need for Change will gather together circa 300 future HSCN users and decision makers from the NHS Trusts, CCG’s, local authorities, third sector, care homes, pharmacies etc to learn more about the new network and how it will enable greater integration of services across a wide spectrum of organisations.
